Message Guys, i have searched and searched and am at my wits end with this damn idle issue.

The car drives fine under speed and has lots of power, its only when i roll up to a stop sign or stoplight and let it idle after a run or drive and the whole car shakes because the idle drops to 500-600.....its rests there for about 10 seconds ... then slowly catches backup as i think the ECU is smoothing it out( am i correct on this hypothesis?) . Its almost like the ECU corrects the idle automatically, but it doesnt last as in the next 20 seconds , the idle drops again to 500-600rpms and slowly catches back up to 750-800 .

I tried again last night after someone suggested EGR vac hose.

The hose actually was cracked at the ends so i thought i had won the idle issue lottery. I lost a pint of blood from my knuckles after replacing the hose and cranked the car up. ..same issue.

Anybody have any suggestions on what else i could try?

Boost holds steady in 3rd gear.
Vacuum at idle is 20hhg.
I dont hear any hissing around the motor except in the back of the plenum and according to Ash's EGR post, it is suppose to be normal.

Ive cleaned the CAS, PTU, MAF.
Ive sprayed WD40 into the IAA unit.
Ive cleaned the connectors on the IAA unit.
Ive checked to see if i have a vacuum hose blown off somewhere.
Ive replaced all the orings under the balance tube.

Im out of ideas and getting really annoyed at stoplights when my car is shaking and running like absolute crap.

thanks and please let me know.
Roger
